All of politics can be summed up to: Its Always About the Money. Who pays, who is paid, and the mechanics of the transfer. Its all about the money. Numbers USA has a new video out describing the impact of unchecked immigration (excluding illegal immigration):



Bottom line, another half billion people added (excluding illegals) by the end of the century. Unspoken: they will all be non-White. Now, it might be depending on your perspective (Bill and Melinda Gates, and Warren Buffet certainly think so) a good thing to make the US as rapidly majority non-White as quickly as possible, if you believe in Whiteness as Original Sin. But most Whites are not rich enough to play at debased post-Calvinism. With those pre-ordained as "saved" (rejecting their original sin of "Whiteness") and those predestined for damnation (middle and working class Whites). Because most Whites are now in the process of Lifeboat Economics.


When you are suddenly in the lifeboats, as your ship sinks, the only goal is survival. Literally anything and everything that furthers survival is good, and anything that hinders it is bad. Every action and decision is binary: life or death. More men accompanied Bligh in an open skiff on a 3,600 mile journey than stayed with Christian Fletcher in the Mutiny on the Bounty. With inflation for food and gas and clothing (things people buy every day) rising or expected to rise, people are stressed as not seen since the 1970's stagflation.


The Wall Street Journal says that inflation is flat, but the data from the Dept. of Labor shows that gasoline, energy, and dairy, meat, and eggs are all up. In other words, what stressed consumers with stagnant wages must buy every day or so. Clothing is expected to go up, shortly, as the cotton shortages globally work their way through the supply chain. As shown in the graphic, the CPI underweights the daily purchases in life (which affects free cash for savings or spending) and overweights hard goods infrequently purchased. You don't need a new DVD player, you do need to eat and fill your car with gas.

At the same time, people are looking at the new statistics, including Whites in California at below replacement level and Latino kids now the majority in California Schools, at 50.4%, compared to 27% of California students as White. Note:

But their electoral sway has not grown by similar amounts, because almost 40 percent of adult Latinos in California are ineligible to vote, said Lisa Garcia Bedolla, an associate professor at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Education.

In other words, fully 40% or so of Hispanic/Latino parents are illegal aliens. Meanwhile proposals keep surfacing to allow illegal aliens to vote, and the White population is told:

"If the majority of the population is becoming bilingual," he said, referring to the growing Latino population learning English, "why shouldn't the white minority also become bilingual?"

Non-White births are expected to outnumber that of Whites very soon, perhaps as soon as 2010 closes. Meanwhile, the LAT reports that the California minimum wage at $8 an hour is being overturned on the ground by illegal aliens paid only $3.50. Or, the cost of illegal aliens is $9,000 a year at a nominal 2,000 hour work-year, for those (in unemployment lines seeking any job) willing to work minimum wage jobs. Or conversely, the subsidy the rest of us pay to businesses exploiting ultra-cheap Mexican labor in the US.

Lifeboat economics suggest that the beleaguered White middle and working class faces now, crowding out for jobs they seek in minimum wage areas, as unemployment insurance runs out and there are no new jobs created. Sixty Minutes had a segment on a former Fiber Optics Engineering manager now working at Target as a salesman at near minimum wages ($9 an hour). The jobs White Americans need are now being taken by a flood of cheap immigrant labor, often at far below even minimum wage jobs.

Of course, the flood of cheap labor is not free. Immigrants legal and illegal create huge costs, they are poor and heavy users of schools (again about 40% of California students are children of illegals), hospitals, prisons, welfare, and other government services, driving up taxes and state spending. While crowding out non-Hispanics in the most desirable places in California. Effectively, middle and working class Whites have been ethnically cleansed out of coastal California into places like Temecula, or the Antelope Valley. Enduring long commutes in order to get to work, and live far away from the barrio. The remaining White enclaves resemble Newport Beach or Malibu or Santa Monica: high cost, uber-liberal preserves of the elite Whites.

But the money aspect goes into other areas. Whites can reasonably expect to be discriminated against in housing, in employment, particularly government, in social spending, in education, in almost every aspect of life, if they are non-rich, non-elite. Warren Buffett says he was lucky, as someone born in 1930, to be White, Male, and American. Of course, his father was a local wheeler-dealer Congressman and businessman. Buffett, of course, is giving most of his fortune away, tax-free, to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Which in turn denies any aid to poor White children, focusing its scholarship and aid efforts exclusively on non-Whites.

Contra Numbers USA, the issue is not just how many people will live in a crowded USA filled with immigrants. It is who will live there, and who will win and who will lose, in all aspects of life, but particularly measured by money.

Continuation of the trends will mean ethnic cleansing of almost all non-elite Whites out of places like the Pacific Coast and East Coast, into the interior. It will mean Whites will under Affirmative Action, Civil Rights (Whites of course famously have none as former DOJ official J. Christian Adams testified), and preferences for non-Whites form a discriminated, untouchable caste that will be in President Obama's words, sitting in the back of the bus in terms of spending and taxes. It means higher taxes, at at time when every penny must be saved for gas and food, and soon clothing. It means being pushed out of most of the desirable places to live, into colder, poorer, more isolated places. It means most of America turning into a variation of Mexico, run basically by Mexicans and those of Mexican descent, for Mexicans.

It means, schools forbidding White kids from flying the US flag, out of fear that Mexican kids will use violence. It means having to learn Spanish, just to navigate every day life. It means being last in line, for government assistance, and first in line for taxation. It means, very visibly, a clear preference for Mexicans (who are allowed to violate immigration law with impunity, and indeed rewards for doing so) and a clear punishment for non-elite Whites.

A nation with majority Mexicans is by definition, a colonized nation of Mexico. Whites inside America that is majority Mexican can expect the same treatment as inside Mexico. Which is definitely third class or worse, treatment.

We are seeing now, unavoidably, a direct and immediate transformation from a middle class, majority White society, with a safe middle class environment for most people, to something akin to Cuidad Juarez or Tijuana slums. That is a direct and immediate downward standard for almost all Whites, and guarantees grinding poverty and racial discrimination into eternity, for those remaining Whites.

A few "nice White ladies" and "nice White men" can demonstrate a post-Calvinist superiority and status mongering (or even, a living off it) by pandering to a non-White majority future. The "End of Whiteness" is celebrated by Tim Wise and Harold Myerson. I personally know of one "nice White lady" who makes a living by selling in effect, curriculum consulting and teacher training to non-White majority school districts in Math and Science. Who knew math and science were not color-blind and neutral? Apparently two plus two does not always equal four when you are non-White.

But these interests are in direct opposition to that of ordinary Whites who face a daunting future: discriminated untouchables in a non-White majority America. With nowhere left to go. It is true that Whites in Jim Crow America treated Black people very poorly, and under slavery even worse. Those Whites are all dead, and those living see no reason (unless they are rich and self-serving or make a living off pandering to non-White majority fantasies and "punishment" for the original sin of "Whiteness") to destroy themselves to make amends. Why would they?

Would you voluntary give up half your income to make amends for "Whiteness?" That is what a non-White majority America amounts to, and more.

America in 1940 was about 89% White, 10% Black, and 1% everything else. As late as 1970, America was 80% White, 10% Black, and 10% Hispanic. Most White Americans, even relatively poorer/working class ones, would accept some preferences for Blacks, given historic reasons, as long as Whites remain at about 80% of the population and sacrifices by Whites are not too onerous. Whites facing below 50% of the population know that they will be treated very, very poorly. And that America will resemble, essentially Mexico. Itself a very poor country compared to its natural resources.

There is a moment in the Lawrence Kasdan movie, Silverado, when the Kevin Klein character realizes that the threat the Brian Dennehy character poses to Linda Hunt's character, will go away if the Dennehy character is dead. In a similar fashion, California's projected 2011 budget deficit of $20 billion will go away, substantially, if most illegal aliens and their children were deported. Already Florida, under huge immigrant pressure, is pushing a measure similar to Arizona's SB 1070. Reporting illegal aliens to ICE when they are found. The Obama Adminstration and the Left argues, in essence, that Mexicans by virtue of their skin color and race ought to be exempt from the law. Because of the original sin of "Whiteness" or something.

As long as the good times were rolling, this was acceptable. People would not complain because to do so would generate calls of "racism" and such. But in desperate times, Lifeboat Economics takes hold. Men went with Captain Bligh, not because he was beloved, he was not. Rather, they figured they had the best chance of survival under Bligh, than Fletcher Christian. All the Mutineers on Pitcairn Island but one soon slaughtered each other in fights over the women, and enslaving the Tahitian men they tricked into journeying with them. This was immediately apparent to most of the men onboard. Hence choosing a 3,600 mile journey in open water with a compass, pocket watch, and sextant, and nothing else but Bligh's brain and seamanship. Bligh, the ultimate technocrat, was no leader of men (he faced a revolt as Governor of Australia, and was known for less harsh methods) but was considered able, serving under fire at the battle of Copenhagen and acquitting himself well in tasks such as dredging harbors in Ireland.

Now, the Swiss who a few years ago approved lawyers for plants in mountain meadows, have approved a referendum requiring deportation of foreigners who commit serious crimes. Despite threats from the EU and Human Rights Watch. They don't want to overrun by foreigners either, and face hard times of their own.

An endlessly upward mobile society, where easy money and cheap labor provided a SWPL paradise, cheap nannies and maids for all, is a different thing from a stagflation driven dystopian future that awaits us all now. Who lives here, how much money they make, what language they speak, and what their race is, is a function of scarcity. Scarce dollars, scarce land, scarce resources, scarce housing, scarce government funds, and scarce White demographics. Since the penalty for being in the minority for Whites is being a third class human being.

Someone, somewhere, in America, will propose deporting all illegal aliens and their children. And provide a detailed break-down of how much it would cost, and how much it would save: in taxes, extra services for the remaining population, better schools, and higher wages for those left. A former Fiber Optics Engineering Manager now making $9 an hour, and getting a boost to say, $15 an hour because of labor scarcity (no more illegals to be salesman at Target), would certainly go for it.

How Assimilation Fails: Jessica Alba And A Nation of Dortmunders

No one has has more money and fame thrown at her by White fans than Jessica Alba. The daughter of a White mother, Alba herself could as easily be defined as White or Anglo, and has played roles in which her character was indeed, Anglo (Sue Storm in the Fantastic Four movies). Alba's success is entirely predicated on her appeal to White fans in the US. Yet recently, Alba has called Arizona's new immigration law, requiring police to forward to ICE, people who they reasonably suspect might be illegal aliens (while forbidding racial profiling) racist and foolish. This points out the utter futility of the dream of assimilation. Even those with money and fame and fortune, identify with people who are non-White and non-citizens, over their fellow Americans.

If Jessica Alba won't pick the side of her own country, assimilation is an utter failure.


Alba famously plays an ICE agent who rejects enforcing immigration law because it is "racist" in "Machete" and stands up shouting to illegal aliens "We didn't cross the border, the border crossed us." Which in turn is the standard slogan for Reconquista folks saying that the US has no right to its territory, and that they are here to take over (and make the US part of Mexico, ruled by Mexicans, with Whites either "going back to Europe" or being officially second class citizens).

Much like Donald E. Westlake's character John Dortmunder, much of the White population must be puzzling, "What's in it for me?" OK, illegal aliens are here to take over. What's in it for me, again? The answer of course, is not much, and that Alba would see no risk in antagonizing her own White fan-base (Mexicans don't go to see her movies, they are not in Spanish) speaks volumes about both assimilation and the movie business. Alba rather than being invested in America's success, and wanting more millions from her White fanbase (her talent is questionable at best and her sex appeal fading as she ages and after motherhood), Alba's money and fame and power leave her free to opine on what's on her mind:

She tells Britain's Daily Record, "It's always been a relevant issue, for me and for Robert, because we grew up with that reality and it just happened to be that a state did something really, really foolish and passed a very racist, foolish law... There's no way we can change it if we all just sit back and do nothing, so it's about engaging and getting people to stand up for their rights."

Assimilation does not work. If it cannot work for Jessica Alba (the picture to the right is Alba, her daughter, and husband), or Robert Rodriguez, for that matter, it cannot work at all. People will always choose, the larger, and more aggressive ethnic and national identity. Even if they have a direct stake (more millions) in making the opposite choice.

Alba's choice, so very public, is likely to provoke opposite choices by the White population. Will a White tax payer base, fund education, welfare, and other social spending benefiting the illegal aliens who claim they didn't cross the border, the border crossed them? That they are here to take over? That Whites should "go back to Europe?" Even Absolute Vodka believes America is "stolen land" to be given back to Mexico. Again, what's in that for me?

Malkin points out the Mexico City-based firm that created the ad, Teran, says its philosophy is advocating "disruption" as a "tool for change" and "agent of growth." The firm encourages "overturning assumptions and prejudices that get in the way of imagining new possibilities and visionary ideas that help create a larger share of the future."

In 2002, a prominent Chicano activist and University of California at Riverside professor, Armando Navarro, told WND he believed secession is inevitable if demographic and social trends continue.

"If in 50 years most of our people are subordinated, powerless, exploited and impoverished, then I will say to you that there are all kinds of possibilities for movements to develop like the ones that we've witnessed in the last few years all over the world, from Yugoslavia to Chechnya," Navarro said.

"A secessionist movement is not something that you can put away and say it is never going to happen in the United States," he contended. "Time and history change."

Essentially, this is the choice being pushed by Alba. Who, all in all, would prefer to live in Mexico than the US.



"You're White, you don't belong here. Go back to Europe. This is Mexican land."

Alba may be prettier. But she espouses the same belief. Whites don't belong here. And if you don't agree you're a "racist." Its like Greg Gutfield's signature line.

Now, the elites and their allies (Jessica Alba, Robert Rodriguez, the woman above in the Brown Beret) might get their way. They have command of the Presidency, likely the Senate, the university system, the non profits and charities. The Bill Gates Foundation, for example, does not provide scholarship for White kids, only non-Whites. White kids need not apply. The media, Hollywood, TV, advertising, all support Reconquista one way or another. So we might see a permanent inclusion of million of illegal aliens, in a post-election general Amnesty. An extended middle finger by Obama to the (current) White majority, applauded by Jessica Alba.

But this action will only intensify the failures of assimilation. Mexicans here, legally or not (Alba's father is a citizen of the US) do not assimilate. Neither do their kids, no matter how much money and fame and fortune are showered upon them and their own interest aligns in favor of assimilation.

Which leaves the White population asking, "What's in it for me?"

Now, Dortmunder is an amusing character to read about, in a comic novel. But a society of Dortmunders is primed for failure. Assimilation has already failed and unless mass action of expulsion of illegals (and anchor babies) is undertaken, demographics alone guarantee a Reconquista. The woman in the Brown Beret is aggressive and revealing because she has already won. But nothing happens in a vacuum. Dortmunder never leaves New York. He's always there, and always the same age, over forty years. But he only does things for money, or petty revenge. He doesn't operate under patriotism, or duty, or honor. His family crest is "Quid lucrum istic mihi est?" A crest which he stole.

A nation of Dortmunders is a guarantee of collapse. Late Rome consisted of Dortmunders, so too Yeltsin's and Putin's Russia. Dortmunders don't pay taxes. They don't work at jobs, building roads, or doing the "dirty jobs" Mike Rowe is famous for publicizing. They don't clean sewers, or build new ones, lay down gas lines (or fix them before they blow up). Dortmunders are good at getting into places and getting out of them, but not building new power station. Or providing first class medical service.

And this is just where we are headed. The danger of White America is not a resurgence of the Klan, or neo-Nazis, or "White Power," or other faded fantasies of fake menaces beloved by the Left. It is a Dortmunder-esque shrug of the shoulders, and asking Quid lucrum istic mihi est?

That is the true lesson of the failure of assimilation. It provokes its own matching failure, among the White population. Replicating Mexico's failure into America. Nothing more or less. White America won't even work and pay taxes, much less fight or die, for the folks in the Brown Berets. Even if they look like Jessica Alba.

Why the Culture War Has Re-ignited

The selection of Sarah Palin as McCain's VP choice has re-ignited the Culture Wars. During the Emmy awards, Tina Fey opined she wanted Sarah Palin to be removed from public life. Laura Linney, Howie Mandel, Jeremy Piven, Stephen Colbert, and John Stewart all expressed their negative views of Sarah Palin. John McCain? He wasn't even mentioned. Even Saturday Night Live got into the act, with a skit suggesting that Todd Palin was molesting his daughters.

The Culture Wars, last seen in the 1992 election, are back. Sarah Palin is at the center. Instead of Murphy Brown. This time, of course, for her decision to have five children, with a blue collar, supportive man. But what drives the reason the Culture Wars are being fought? After all, much of this abuse directed at Palin is spontaneous, coming from people such as Sandra Bernhard. Who, to the acclaim of the Washington Post, declared that Sarah Palin would be "gang raped" by "some of Sandra's big, Black brothers" should Palin dare to venture into Manhattan.

What is driving this abuse? It's fear of demographics, and the need to control culture to make up for the demographic collapse of White Liberalism.

Simply put, White Liberals are not having many children. Philip Longman, in his "Return of the Patriarchy," notes that "Red" states that voted for George W. Bush in 2004, had a 12% fertility advantage over "Blue" states that voted for John Kerry. Liberals do know this, and it accounts for the fury over which they wage the Culture Wars, and also their support for illegal and legal immigration.

The story of Forty-Three year old Alexis Stewart, daughter of Martha Stewart, is fairly instructive. The forces of both urban anonymity, and Liberal Culture, encourage educated, urban, high income women to delay childbirth until radical (and risky, for both mother and child) means of fertility, which in the case of Stewart cost $28,000 a month, are required. Meanwhile, as Longman notes, Mormon and Evangelical Christians have many children.Mitt Romney has for example, five sons. Liberals know well that they will simply be outnumbered and shoved aside from power by sheer fertility (and their own lack of it) unless something is done.

Hence, the Culture Wars. Culture is the Liberal "Secret Weapon" for controlling political, social, and yes demographic power. Liberals bank on the power of Culture to transform, young men and women, from socially conservative, Evangelical, Mormon, and other "patriarchal" groups into well, Liberals. To a certain extent they have been successful. Young women in particular flock to urban centers, as Strange Maps points out. While commenters on Strange Maps have pointed out some possible errors in the map's assumptions, the main point that young women and men flock to urban areas is not disputed. As "Pick Up Artist" and blogger Roissy has noted, urban living imposes it's own dynamics. Including anonymity, endless choice, and a consumerist approach to relationships. The dynamic has not escaped the notice of Liberals, who bet on the dynamic and the omnipresent Media Culture to create their own Janissary Corps.

The Turkish Sultans, engaged first in the conquest of Anatolia, which at the time was overwhelmingly Christian, had a problem. A problem made worse by the final conquest of Byzantium in 1453, and the conquest of Christian nations in the Balkans, Southern Russia, and Southern Poland. Namely, revolt by Christians who outnumbered the Muslims, at least locally. The solution to this problem was the formation of the Janissary Corps, by the Sultan Murad I, around 1365. Local Christian youths were conscripted, forcibly converted as Muslims, and trained as elite soldiers who formed the Sultan's own personal army, as opposed to the tribal levies who were loyal to their own tribal leaders. The Janissaries were paid, regularly, as soldiers, and wore distinctive uniforms. Their loyalty was to the Sultan, not other leaders or groups. Their military prowess, and the ability of the Sultans to use them as an ever-expanding personal army, accounted for much of the Ottoman success, even as late as 1683 and the Second Siege of Vienna. Eventually, of course, the Janissaries became a rather debased Praetorian Guard, controlling the Sultans rather than acting as agents of his will. But for the better part of five hundred years the institution was successful.

Now, Liberals do not intend to impress and forcibly convert socially conservative young people. Rather, they believe that the Media Culture, and the signaling of what is fashionable and trendy, will work the same way in the anonymous, consumerist, status-driven urban culture that young men and women largely inhabit today. After all, they reason, the young men and women who leave small towns and suburbs, enter into large urban areas that are beyond daily contact with their parents, former friends, and social networks. Making these young men and women extremely malleable for new social norms, based on approval of taste-makers and fashions that determine relationship success, in a place where anonymity and endless choice abounds. Having the "correct" opinions are vital for relationship success. Reinforced of course by the Media and Culture which tells young people what attitudes are attributes of those successful in relationships and status and power in the urban mosh pit, and what attitudes are the mark of failures.

This is why the Culture Wars were fought in the first place, starting in the mid to late 1980's when the Baby Boomer generation early cohorts first reached their late thirties and early forties, and positions of cultural power. It's why Murphy Brown had a child on her own, with a father irrelevant. It's why nearly every television show, movie, and pop music artist all push the same social conventions of social liberalism. It is the weapon against fertility — the ability to "capture" young social conservative men and women and "convert" them to social Liberalism, when they move to large Urban Areas, outside the reach of their childhood churches, parents, and friends, and the social networks that shaped their views.

Sarah Palin, of course, just by example, threatens that ability to push a social consensus. Just by existing as an example of a woman who did not move to a large urban area, and pursue the kind of life that say, Alexis Stewart did, she is a threat, from outside Culture. Outside movies, television, and popular music, what Liberals see as the great social shapers of attitudes in the modern world. No less than George Clooney, after all, claimed it was Hollywood that helped end racism and sexism, through it's movies. If Sarah Palin has a successful political career, particularly if she assumes the Presidency at some point (a future viewed as pure horror by Margaret Cho and Tina Fey), she represents an "end run" around the Liberal Culture. A threat to the ability of Liberals to use Culture as a Janissary Corps to indoctrinate young men and women into their own worldview.

This threat is seen most clearly by those who use their Cultural monopoly, in movies, television, and popular music to enforce cultural mores. Hence the spontaneous and rage-filled venom spewed by movie, television, and pop music celebrities. Including Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and now, San Francisco Chronicle columnist Mark Morford who dubbed Barack Obama "a Lightworker", presumably after watching one too many episodes of "Charmed" which also featured "White Lighters" with magical powers.

Even the Media people like Morford absorb without question the culture produced by television:

Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul.

It is also why people like Morford hate that Palin could threaten this cultural monopoly by her success:

Every white woman I know is positively horrified.

Wait, that's not exactly true. It's more accurate to say that every thoughtful or liberal or intuitive or open-minded white woman I know worth her vagina monologue and her self-determination and two centuries of nonstop striving for equal rights and sexual freedom and exhaustive patriarchal unshackling is right now openly horrified, appalled at what the addition of shrill PTA hockey-mom Sarah Palin seems to have done for the soggy, comatose McCain campaign -- that is, make it not merely remotely interesting and melodramatic, but aggressively hostile to, well, to all intelligent women everywhere.

Truly, among women in the know and especially among those who fought so hard to bring Hillary Clinton to the brink of history, nausea and a general recoiling appear to be the universal reactions to Palin's sudden presence on the national stage, stemming straight from the idea that there's even a slight chance in hell such an antagonistic, anti-female politico could be within a 72-year-old heartbeat of becoming the most powerful and iconic woman of all time.

They say: You've got to be kidding me. They say: This is what we get? This could be our historic role model? Two hundred years (OK, more like 2000) of struggle, only to have this nasty caricature of femininity try to hijack and mock and undermine it all?

It cannot be true, they say. The universe must be joking, would not dare dump such a homophobic, Creationist evangelical nutball on us, this anti-choice, God-pandering woman who's the inverse of Hillary, this woman of deep inexperience who abhors birth control and supports abstinence education and shoots exhausted wolves from helicopters and hates polar bears and actually stands for everything progressive women have resented since the first pope Swift-Boated Eve.

This cultural monopoly in the English speaking media, is also why Liberals support illegal immigration, and increased legal immigration as well. They assume that the mostly Mexican immigrants, legal or not, will be absorbed into the cultural assumptions of the Urban professional class: PETA, Greenpeace, "Lightworkers" and other New Age nonsense, and of course Global Warming and the Gaia religion. Along with the endless pursuit of status and consumerist relationships. Mostly, the White young men and women who make the journey from the hinterland into the Big Cities have been absorbed into that Cultural monopoly.

What the Liberal Elite don't understand, of course, is that particularly for Mexican Immigrants, legal or not, this absorption simply does not take place. Like Sarah Palin, they stand aside. Not by living in small-town Alaska, but by living outside the English speaking Media. Just in the last few years, Nielsen has listed Univision, in addition to ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and the CW, in broadcast networks. As can be readily discovered by the casual observer, Nielsen shows that Hispanics don't watch the same things Whites or Blacks do. During the Summer Olympics, both Whites and Blacks mostly watched the Olympics on NBC. For Hispanics, it was shows like "Sabado Gigante." The Olympics did not make the top ten for that demographic.

Hispanics in the US (and we are largely speaking of Mexican Immigrants, legal or illegal, and their children) have not one but two broadcast television networks offering Spanish-language content, Univision and Telemundo. Anyone watching their shows, will find radically different ideas about the place and role of women in society, treatment of animals, romance and relationships, concerns about the environment, and much else. Though Hispanics vote reliably Democratic, they hold vastly different attitudes towards, say gays and gay marriage, than the Liberal Culture of the English speaking elite. They remain, decades after large scale immigration into the US, legal or otherwise, largely distinct and separate culturally from their English speaking contemporaries. This is true even of English speaking children of Mexican immigrants. Who remain loyal to Spanish language media, culture, and mores. Even if they are outside daily contact with their parents, churches,and social network. The vast ocean of English speaking Liberal Culture holds little attraction to them, and they remain immune to it's function of absorbing and acculturating newcomers to the large urban centers of America.

Large Urban centers such as New York or Los Angeles can have two separate, distinct, and largely exclusive populations, the White Yuppie professional class, and the largely Hispanic working class, that rarely if ever interact. While the effect of Liberal Culture in English language outlets is powerful, it has no effect whatsoever on those who live side by side with it, but separate to it. This outcome of course, is something that Liberals cannot see, just as fish in the middle of the ocean cannot fathom where the shore begins and the sea ends.

This blindness, and the battle for supremacy over the fertility of socially conservative Whites through the "Janissary Effect" of Liberal Culture is what drives the fury over Palin by those who drive that culture. They see their power slipping away from them, by the existence of an alternate model. Ironically, they fail to see (as do European elites who vastly overestimate the power of assimilation by culture with their own, separate Muslim population) that the real threat comes not by the example of Palin but the numerical supremacy of the Immigrant population they have welcomed as allies against more fertile and conservative Whites.

A Mexican origin majority voter State (California is majority Mexican, but not in registered voters who are still overwhelmingly White), would outlaw gay marriage, and likely benefits for "registered partners." Since gay rights and gays remain deeply unpopular among Mexican nationals and those of Mexican origin. Dog fighting and cock fighting would be legal, since those are popular past-times for Mexican nationals and Mexican origin citizens. As the effect of English-language Culture in remaking socially conservative White men and women in large urban centers into largely child-less yuppies becomes stronger, ironically the more fertile Mexican origin citizens will wield far greater voting power, and remake society to their liking.
