The Silverado Moment

In the movie "Silverado," the character played by Kevin Kline has an awakening. His friend, played by Linda Hunt, is threatened with death by the evil sheriff, played by Brian Dennehy. Hunt points out the obvious to the gambler and gunfighter character played by Kline: the Dennehy character can't hurt her if he's dead. In the same way, a crisis of money, in State budgets, is driving already a "Silverado Moment" for White middle class voters. Nearly every state is in budgetary crisis, and the bigger states with terrible demographics are in severe crisis. California faces a $6 billion budget crisis in the next six months and $20 billion for the next 12 budget cycle after that. Illinois, New York, and Massachusetts face similar budget crises. Spurred by middle class flight, and demographic transformation into Brazil like favelas filled with the "Mexodus" of Mexican immigrants, nearly all illegal and very, very poor, with a few highly liberal rich Whites, these states simply cannot pay for the budgets they must have, often by statute or state constitutions or federal consent decrees. There are not enough White middle class taxpayers to fund the required massive outlays in health, education, welfare, and prisons.Sky high taxes make raising new taxes a prospect sure to create massive voter revolt.

Hence the Silverado Moment. Voters in these states, are increasingly realizing they can have the nice things they want, libraries open, beautiful parks, safe streets, saving the obscure mice and birds in wetlands, if they do just one thing. Deport every illegal alien they can find (and their kids) and let the Federal government go hang. Bingo! Budget balanced, with no new taxes.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Mexicans outnumber Whites in K-12 students, and about 40% of all K-12 students parents cannot vote (i.e. they are likely illegal aliens). This fact is driving the Silverado Moment.

No, White voters don't want to "kill" Mexican illegal aliens. They just want to deport them, so they won't have to pay for their high costs. Illegal alien labor is not cheap, certainly not for taxpayers.

The Orange County Register posted a budgetary breakdown. Roughly $37 billion in the current budget year goes for K-12 Education, about $37 billion for Health and Welfare, and about $9 billion for prison/corrections expenditures. These are the biggest budgetary areas, all others including Higher Education are minor categories, and cannot be cut radically without impacting middle class, and crucially, upper class White voters.

Assuming a 40% reduction in expenditures in K-12, Health and Welfare, and prisons, with widespread deportation (or even pushing out to other states through vigorous enforcement), you would be looking at decreases of $14.8 billion in K-12, $14.8 billion in Health/Welfare, and 3.6 billion in Prison/Corrections. Totaling $33.2 billion in cuts, without tax increases. Of course, enforcement and deportations cost. Not the least of which is that the Feds and Obama will fight hard to keep "instant voters" in the US, no matter what the costs to States and their taxpayers

This crisis is coming because unfunded pension obligations, among the States, is estimated to be around $500 billion. The unfunded obligations exist because there is not enough money to pay for both contractural obligations to public employees and expenditures on illegal aliens and their children. Already bond markets are reacting badly, with California and Illinois reaching Greek levels of yields (yields are the inverse of prices, cheap bonds equal high yield bonds or, junk level, essentially). California even had to withdraw some bonds due to tepid investor reaction at the prices. California must eventually offer the bonds at junk-level prices.

Rahm Emmanuel and Saul Alinksy counseled to never let a crisis go to waste. Well, the crisis is here. Like Kevin Kline in Silverado, middle class White taxpayers face tax annihilation in a time of stagnant wages, and rapidly increasing food and energy and clothing prices, with no more ability to simply borrow today to put off reckoning tomorrow. To pay, essentially, for the costs associated with educating the children of dirt poor peasants from Mexico who came to America illegally. Or spending welfare on illegal aliens and their children, almost all of them from Mexico. Or spending on prisons and corrections for the massive influx of illegal aliens, many of them low level drug criminals associated with the Zetas or Gulf Cartel.

In addition, many states have constitutional or statute requirements for certain percentages of the budget to be spent on various categories: K-12 education, or welfare. With Obama's Spendulus, many federal funds (that are now running out) came with requirements for states to massively increase (permanently) welfare spending, there is not much to cut.

Unless ... Unless ...

Illegals simply get deported. By States deciding to ignore a federal government and President who is a clueless and destructive idiot. Somewhere, somehow, a Governor and Legislature will decide that a President who cannot jail (and punish) Julian Assange can be defied internally. One cannot be weak abroad and not be also, weak at home. Deciding, as President Andrew Jackson said, to allow the Supreme Court having made their decision to enforce it.

In the end, it will be all about the money. Even Santa Monica and Malibu millionaire marxist liberals care about (their) money. Taxes on their real estate holdings are the next targets, voiced by the uber-rich (David Geffen, Eli Broad) against the merely rich (say, David Spade). The remaining middle class Whites are being squeezed, and don't figure to be very sympathetic to what amounts to a colonization of the US by Mexican peasants. Roughly 7.2 billion for enforcement would be available ($33.2 billion in savings minus the current 18 month budget deficit of 26 billion) under a California plan to simply balance the budget by deporting illegals (and their children).

Of course Jerry Brown and a Democratic Legislature will not ever consider this. Nor will the folks of Massachusetts, or New York. But New Jersey is probably another measure. Or possibly even Illinois (Mayor Daley getting out of town means a scandal is brewing). Definitely places like South Carolina, or Georgia, or Tennessee, can see the way to balance budgets without punitive tax increases that push the White middle class into poverty.

Setting up a confrontation with a President who has gambled everything that he can be weak abroad, deliberately, without being weak at home. In other words, States taking what the President and feds have ceded: control over the borders. With the approval of their taxpayers and voters, in places where moneyed interests are tied to real estate, not mobile assets able to be moved globally. Not obviously, California, but other states with more favorable demographics (bigger slices of White middle class voters and taxpayers, more real estate owners, less uber-rich and Mexican illegals) seem to be moving towards this.

It is always about the money.

Will LA Have Another Riot?

The recent shooting of an illegal alien, a Guatemalan day laborer, who menaced passers-by (mostly women and children) with a knife while drunk, and got shot when he attacked a police officer, has drawn protests and violent skirmishes. The question is, will LA see another riot?

Westlake, which generations ago used to be a nice, gentrified area, is now completely controlled by Central American gangs, mostly MS-13, and is the site of frequent Communist / Black Block agitators. The same folks who gave you the May Day riots a few years ago. The new Police Chief, directed by illegal-alien panderer Antonio Villaraigosa, LA's "Latino Mayor" has offered "community meetings" and dialog (instead of arrests and cracking heads). As a result, LA seems poised for a riot.

The vitriolic response to the shooting has surprised many department and elected officials. With the knife recovered at the scene, eyewitness accounts allegedly supporting the authorities' claim that Jamines advanced aggressively toward the officers, and no racial overtones to the shooting, the incident did not seem to be one that would cause such an eruption of anger.

In an interview Wednesday, Beck blamed the unrest on outside groups that, he said, seized on the killing as an opportunity to foment anger toward the police.

The area's large population of immigrant day laborers, who have struggled to find work during the city's financial collapse and have grown frustrated with the LAPD's aggressive stance against the neighborhood's ubiquitous illegal street vendors, may have been particularly receptive to the calls for upheaval, Beck said.

"It has been a bunch of agitators pushing the envelope and using individuals as their pawns," he said.

At least some of the disorder seemed to have been fueled by such groups. About a dozen people who appeared to be affiliated with the Revolutionary Communist Party handed out literature about the group's beliefs and other cases of officer-involved shootings, and chanted messages over bullhorns about a communist revolution. Among those arrested Tuesday night was Jubilee Shine, 40, of South Los Angeles, who heads a group called the Coalition for Community Control Over the Police.

Hernandez, the officer who shot Jamines, remains ineligible for patrol assignments, police officials said. An officer involved in a shooting is kept off the streets until the chief has received a formal briefing on the incident and the officer is cleared by a department psychologist to return to full duty.

Note: the officer who shot the Guatemalan illegal alien day laborer (who was completely drunk at the time) is himself, Hispanic.

Stupidity abounds:

Carol Sobel, a civil-rights attorney who has clashed with the LAPD over the use of force, echoed several protesters and residents in the area who questioned why Hernandez had not been able to shoot Jamines in the arm or leg.

"I can understand if the person has a gun, that the officer should shoot to kill. But, in this case, with a knife, it seems to me this could be excessive," she said.

Deputy Chief Sandy Jo MacArthur, who oversees training for the LAPD, said officers are put through simulation machines that mimic real-life scenarios in which the decision to use deadly force must be made in seconds.

Officers are not taught to "shoot to kill" or to "shoot to wound," she said, but are trained to aim always at an aggressor's "center mass" — roughly the belly or chest — to stop the person from advancing. If that does not stop the person, officers are trained to aim at the suspect's head, MacArthur said.

What this is about, really, is control. Control of the Westlake area, with the Gang members, day laborers (often the same people), and the Communist/community agitators (again often the same people) wanting to use the incident to push the Police out and seize control. If a riot breaks out, all the better to loot the area completely (and burn the remaining evidence). Above all, it is a statement of dominance. Central American gangs and illegal aliens control the city, not the Police. Certainly not the White Westsiders or those in the Valley.

Reportedly, attempts were made to attack the Rampart Station, and rush inside, the previous night (that of Sep 8-9). It seems likely this stand-off will grow only more intense, until one side breaks. All it will take, is a political call by the Mayor to withdraw from certain areas and streets, and the crowd will gather enough force to create a mob. One that can attack with impunity (on live TV). Once control has been ceded, it will take the National Guard to return it.

LA is a powder keg. The illegals here feel no affection for LA, it is not their home or homeland. It is merely a place to be looted. Eventually, it will be.

What the fall-out from that will be is another issue.

Illegal Alien Protests in LA: Here to Take Over

In National Geographic's "Dog Whisperer," star Cesar Milan deals with unruly dogs with simple body language of domination. His message: "I'm here to take over." It is that simple. He does take over. By simple domination. The recent illegal alien protests on July 29 in LA, seen also here, and and here.

These protests, including the recent one on August 26, 2010, that shut down most of Century City (over the firing of 16 illegal alien janitors), are a message of simple dominance. Illegal aliens are here to take over. In the July 29th protest, illegal aliens protesting Arizona's new law, shut down the entire Westside for over 6 hours. The LAPD was not allowed to arrest the folks blocking the streets, until near gridlock was achieved on the Westside.

The message was not really about Arizona's law. Or the firing of janitors. It was about control and dominance. The message being, "we're here to take over."

As California slides ever more into Mexifornia, the message of control will continue until total domination is achieved. By one side or another. This is of course, replicated on the national level.

Just as Cesar Milan's message to dog owners is that there can be only one pack leader, so too can there be only ONE dominant ethnic group in control. As followers of the "the Dog Whisperer" know, the fight for dominance can be protracted, and exhausting. White middle class men, and working class men, and less attractive White women, are well, screwed when dominance changes. Because they are last in line, and last for everything, when goodies are handed out. Attractive women can trade on their sex appeal, but that has a limited shelf-life, even if women over-estimate the time they can trade on it. But for the rest, switching to living in Mexico, which is what is happening, gives no benefits. If White Americans wanted to live in Mexico, they would have moved there.

Mexico is falling apart. The Drug Wars have expanded into all aspects of Mexican society. The Financial Times reports that:

There used to be a time when the municipality of San Fernando in north-eastern Mexico was known for farming, fishing and a quiet way of life. Today, it is associated with death.

This week, a young Ecuadorean with bullet holes through his shoulder and cheek told the story of how he and his travelling companions on their way to the US in search of work had been kidnapped in San Fernando by the Zetas, one of Mexico’s drug cartels.

“They pulled us out of the truck violently and demanded money,” he told authorities after managing to escape, according to local press reports. “They said that they were Zetas and that they would pay us $1,000 every two weeks [if we joined them] but we didn’t accept and they opened fire.”

Mexican authorities confirmed the account when they discovered in a remote and semi-derelict grain warehouse 72 bullet-ridden bodies with their hands tied and eyes bandaged. Among them was a woman in the final stages of pregnancy.

Also notable:

Even Monterrey, the country’s industrial centre known until recently for its peaceful lifestyle, has been upended. The past few months have seen an increase in so-called “narco-bloqueos” or impromptu roadblocks by drugs gangs to create maximum chaos in the city and thwart local authorities’ attempts to keep the peace.

Things got so bad this week that Coparmex, a national confederation of 36,000 businesses that account for one-third of Mexico’s economic output, demanded that federal, state and municipal governments fulfilled their obligations to protect citizens

The same article noted the Narco-Speak changing the face of Mexican Spanish:

Narco-speak

Students of the Spanish language and Mexican culture alike can add a new module to their classes: narco-speak. Mexico’s drugs cartels and the chilling violence they have inflicted on the country, have spawned a new lexicon to describe objects and activities that were barely known in the country just a couple of decades ago.

Cuerno de chivo

Before the rise of the cartels, the term “cuerno de chivo” used to mean just that: a goat’s horn. Today, only the most isolated from current affairs and popular culture would confuse it with anything other than an AK-47 assault rifle. The nickname comes from the weapon’s distinctively curved ammunition clip.

Levantón

In more peaceful times, the word “levantón” usually meant a round-up of suspects by police or other security forces. Today, it means only one thing: kidnapping of one or more rival gang members with the express intention of torturing and then killing them.

Manta

More often than not, a “manta” in Spanish was something your grandmother might have made to cover your bed. Nowadays, it is a scrawled message or warning – sometimes in blood and often pinned to a dead body – from one armed group to another.

Plaza

Remember the “plaza”, that sunlit square complete with bubbling fountain in the middle that forms any self-respecting image of a Mexican town? Today, it means a local territory for dealing drugs.

Dar piso

The literal translation of “dar piso” is to “give floor” (to something). Today it means to kill someone or to “take them out”.

Narco-

Perhaps the most flexible term in the new vocabulary is the prefix “narco”.
Try “narcocandidato”, the term for describing a corrupt politician. Or “narcofiesta”, a party of rabble-rousing music, pretty girls and plenty of white cowboy hats held by and for drug traffickers. Then there is the somewhat older term “narcocorrido”, a ballad whose lyrics are specifically about mafia culture.

Not particularly a culture that has a powerful attraction for most White folks. It is not as if the Mexican-ization of California and America brings wealth, prosperity, and security to the existing White (former majority) population. It brings decapitations, kidnappings, and murders on a mass scale. As the article notes, since January alone, 7,500 murders have occurred in Mexico. This number dwarfs the number of deaths in IRAQ which is a near-active war zone beset by jihad and Iranian inspired and Al Qaeda inspired attacks (around 3,600 or so by Iraq Body Count). If White Americans don't want to live in Iraq, they want to live in even more violent Mexico.

Mexicans won't stop the behavior found in Mexico, that's reshaped the language, simply because they cross the border. Indeed, the actions already speak of dominance. Not persuasion. Simply the statement that they are here to take over.

This is guaranteed to provoke a fight. Demographics may indeed suggest an eventual victory by Mexicans. But never in human history has the message "we're here to take over" failed to provoke a brutal fight for control and ... dominance.
